Deadly Rumors Part 2: Control

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” - Jeremiah 29:11

We are faced with choices constantly as humans. No matter the options, there is always a solid choice that brings our life peace. And that is simply choosing God. So many people complain how God is controlling. He is rumored to be just out for himself and making us live just like him for his own personal gain. The devil is very jealous of man. His plan is to destroy man. And the best way for him to do that is to paint God as something he is not. It is up to us to see through his deception. God created each and every one of us. He loves us so very much. He knows everything and tells us exactly how to live to give us the best life here. We are here to strengthen our spirits so when we go home we are complete, knowing how to love God and love others. When a parent makes a rule that the child has to follow, that rule is created for the protection of the child. It’s not a rule to just control the child’s life. It’s a rule that is created to teach the child how to live the right way so the child can have peace and not suffer consequences. Gods love is greater than that! He wants us all to have a strong spirit that knows no fear, is always happy, and has so much peace that it can change the lives of others here on earth. He wants us teaching our children his ways so they can grow up knowing how to always make the right choice. When we make the choice to sin against God, we start to darken our spirit. God is a spirit. He is not a man. He is light.  As we darken our spirit, we move further from God. He doesn’t push us away, we take ourselves away from him. Eventually we are too dark for him to even see and protect. Jesus came here as a sacrifice to be able to pull all that darkness off of us so God can see us again. So we aren’t hiding from him in shame and guilt. It’s up to us to work hard to keep our spirits full of light so we don’t slip away again. God created this world! He created everything. He knows just how it all works and what is the way to succeed here so we can go back home. Heaven is a place of light and peace and happiness and freedom from pain and fear. You can’t return back there if you aren’t pure like Heaven. The devil is pushing us to be just like him so we go to his place of pain and suffering. Don’t let the rumor of God being controlling allow the devil to destroy you! He does not love you at all. He is controlling your choices and then making you think they are your own choices. As long as he keeps you covered with deception there is no protection. See God for who he is. He is all knowing. He is the creator of all things. He is light. He is all that is good. He is trustworthy. He is faithful. He is protection. He is the truth. He is life. He is love. He is our Father in Heaven. He loves us so much, and just wants us to love him back.
