“You were running the race so well. Who has held you back from following the truth? It certainly isn’t God, for he is the one who called you to freedom.” - Galatians 5:7-8
Do we always like to accept we are wrong? Some find it really easy to see what they could have done better in a situation. But there are a lot that can easily blame someone else and then move on. They can move on with the lie and can feel okay about it. What happens here is that person sinks themselves deeper into darkness. That person moves farther away from God every second, and every second makes it that much harder for the person to find God again. Being away from God is being away from his protection. Obedience to the Word of God is for our own protection in this world. God never intended for this place to need protection from evil, but like the good Father he is, He is still here helping us turn this creation around. John 8:31-32 says, “To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” We all want to be free from the bondage of this world. We want to be happy and peaceful. If you think your soul isn’t just looking for happiness and peace, you are wrong. God created us to be joyful and peaceful and with a hopeful future. It’s why people that seem to have it all on this Earth are not happy and peaceful. That only comes from choosing God. Always living in truth is the only way to be free and happy and peaceful. If you are making a bad choice, own that choice. Stop doing it and say you are sorry to the one you are hurting. Don’t blame it on anyone else that you made a bad choice. Even if the other person is also in the wrong, nowhere in the Bible does it say to do wrong because someone else is doing wrong. We are encouraged to help that person do right by using the Word of God. But what if you are blaming God? Do you ever feel like your circumstance is not ideal because God has chosen this for you? Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” God gave us his Word to protect us. Psalm 23 has reminded us all for years that he is with us to walk us in the path of righteousness. Even though we walk through this evil world, he is there to protect and comfort us. And all that takes is choosing him and not sinning against him. The devil is the one who tempts you to disobey God. He wants your protection gone so he can now have his will in your life. His will for us is death. He uses us to destroy ourselves. Then he helps us blame God for it. We must all wake up! If we have any chance of life, or any chance of saving this beautiful creation of love, we must expose the devil in our lives. He doesn’t want any of us to know this truth because he will then be destroyed. Let us all stop the blame game and start loving each other.
