“And I know his commands lead to eternal life; so I say whatever the Father tells me to say." - John 12:50
Words are powerful. They can comfort, scare, bring happiness, worry, they can give encouragement, and bring sadness. Your words can change lives either good or bad. You might right now feel a certain way about yourself because of words that were said to you. The devil can use anyone that will listen to him to change people’s destiny. Every word spoken on this creation is either from light or darkness. All words are spoken with an energy that either gives love or takes love. You are a vessel with a choice to use the words of God or the devil. You choose who you listen to. You have to stand firm on two things: (1) I will not speak the words of the devil and (2) I will not listen to the words of the devil. Reading God’s word and taking it into your heart is the only way to firmly create a foundation in how you will speak and listen. And that foundation is Jesus. If Jesus wouldn’t speak it, don’t speak it. If Jesus wouldn’t listen to it, don’t listen to it. The devil tempted Jesus with his words, just trying to make him fail his mission. Jesus didn’t have time to even entertain it! He was too busy listening to his Father in Heaven. Keep your eyes and ears focused on Heaven. Jesus is an example of how to spread love here on this earth with your words and actions. He only gave love even though he didn’t get much, if any, back. But the love that was shining on him from Heaven while he walked this earth as a man was beyond any love he needed from here. Jesus doesn’t need us to love him back, but he wants us to. Why? The only way for us to be saved is to love Jesus. God loves those that have a heart of Jesus. To have a heart of Jesus, we must love Jesus. We must only speak love to others and we must not let any hate get to our hearts. God says his thoughts towards you are good. If you are hanging on to a word that goes against that, you aren’t living like Jesus. The devils will for you is to be sad and depressed and anxious and angry and hurt and hurtful to others. God’s will is for you to always be happy and peaceful, feeling only the love poured down from Heaven. It was enough for Jesus to be able to finish his mission. Let it be enough for you. Only believe God’s word. In that way, you are only taking in love and giving out love. Hang on to the right words; a victorious mission will be yours, just like Jesus.
