Keeping the Fearless Faith of Jesus

“We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ” - 2 Corinthians 10:5

One thing everyone can agree on is that Jesus did not have fear. What he went through, no one could ever do without fear, until now. That sacrifice paved the way for us to be able to go through any trial without fear because Jesus is with us. He already overcame all so he can walk us through with a promise of a peaceful and victorious outcome. So why do we shake in moments of trials instead of standing fearless? Because we forget our Father’s Word. We don’t have it imprinted in our heart. Psalm 119:11 says, “I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.” The only way to stand fearless in times of trials is to retrain our minds and hearts to think and live the way Jesus shows us. Being reborn is exactly that. We have to start over like a newborn and learn to walk again. But this time we learn to walk with our handbook. The Bible gives us all the ways to live for Jesus and walk his path. Furthermore, the Bible is packed with real stories of people that walked that path and their experiences. There are also stories of people that chose not to walk that path and their experiences. I’m choosing to walk the path that is full of peace and miracles and signs and wonders. Every decision we make, we are either saying our past choices were right or the Word of God is right. Reading the Word of God more will help us always say that God is right and the world (and our past) is wrong. We cannot help anyone if they are able to help us back to our past life. We must know the Word of God to say in response to anything said to us. If Jesus is fully in your heart, the Word of God will spring from your mouth to attack any negative word before it makes it to your heart. We must have the truth imbedded in us so deeply that the lies of the world don’t even make sense anymore. We must be able to say, “I don’t even remember a time that I was scared or said I can’t do that.” We must be so packed full of our Father’s Word that the ways of this world are foreign and laughable to us. As children of God, we must demolish all words that are against the sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross of Calvary, and spread the word of his victory only.

“Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 3:13-14
